About Grace Fellowship Church

Our Story, Mission, and Community

Our History

A journey of faith, growth, and community service spanning decades

Church Founded

Grace Fellowship Church was established with a small congregation of 25 faithful members, meeting in a modest community hall in Lagos. Our founding pastor, Rev. Samuel Adeyemi, had a vision to create a welcoming space for spiritual growth and community fellowship.

First Building Dedicated

After years of faithful service and community support, we dedicated our first permanent church building. The congregation had grown to over 200 members, and the new facility provided space for expanded ministries and community outreach programs.

Community Outreach Expansion

Launched comprehensive community programs including a food bank, youth mentorship initiative, and educational support services. These programs have since served thousands of families in our community, demonstrating Christ's love through practical action.

Sanctuary Expansion

Completed a major expansion project to accommodate our growing congregation of over 800 members. The new sanctuary includes modern facilities, enhanced accessibility features, and dedicated spaces for children's and youth ministries.

Present Day

Today, Grace Fellowship Church is a thriving community of over 1,200 members, continuing to serve our community with passion and dedication. We remain committed to our founding vision while embracing new opportunities to share God's love in an ever-changing world.

Our Core Beliefs

The foundational truths that guide our faith and practice

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, our ultimate authority for faith and life. It is God's revelation to humanity, providing guidance, wisdom, and truth for all aspects of life.

The Trinity

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal, working in perfect unity for our salvation and sanctification.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. Through His death and resurrection, He provides salvation and reconciliation with God for all who believe in Him.

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by works but freely given to all who repent of their sins and trust in Christ as Lord and Savior.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all believers, empowering them for Christian living and service. The Spirit guides, teaches, convicts, and produces spiritual fruit in the lives of God's people.

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers worldwide. The local church exists to worship God, build up believers, and reach the lost with the Gospel message.

Baptism & Communion

We practice believer's baptism by immersion as an outward expression of inward faith. We regularly observe communion as a memorial of Christ's sacrifice and a celebration of our unity in Him.

Christ's Return

We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His eternal kingdom. This blessed hope motivates us to live faithfully and share the Gospel urgently with all people.
